These earrings are made with 3/4" glass domes, set in aged brass, under which is featured Dewey Decimal numbers from REAL vintage library catalog cards!
I will select the numbers for you, and will include the cards the numbers were cut from so you know what books you're "wearing." Very cool gift for the librarian, bibliophile, or geek in your life! The numbers you recieve may be different from the ones pictured here, but you can be sure they'll have the same nerdtastic appeal.
I use a water resistant epoxy, but since one element of these earrings is paper, you should remove them before bathing or swimming.
FYI - this pair is my own, the 810.9 is a book of American Literary Masters, and the 299.16 from a book on Celtic Folklore.
